Can I order Banana Pudding for tomorrow?

DELIVERY
Where are you located?
My administrative office is in Westchester, our commercial facility is in New York City (not for receiving customers, but for food production only).

My mom lives in North Carolina. Can you ship (mail) cakes to her?
I'm flattered! However, I don't ship because I can't guarantee that the items will arrive without damage. Furthermore, the cost to ship would essentially double the cost of your mom's order. I hope to find a reasonably priced carrier in the future who can ship without problem.

What are Debbie's Soulful Sweets terms for delivery?
Delivery is available with a min. order of $120. To accommodate high holiday demand, we have established convenient pick-up locations. Call for details.

All orders are confirmed by phone or via email.

OUR PRODUCTS
Do you really bake from scratch?
Yes! Every item is lovingly baked from scratch the old-fashioned way using only natural ingredients. I take the time to bake so you don't have to!

Are those real pictures of your products?
Yes! All of the product photos are true-to-life. I (Debbie) personally took all of the photos! They are NOT stock photos and they have NOT been retouched or altered in any way.

What kind of flavorings and extracts do you use?
I use only natural (not artificial) flavorings and extracts in all of my products.

What ingredients do you use?
Sweet butter is used in all products. Whole eggs, flour and natural sugars are also used.

What kind of sweeteners do you use?
I use only naturally occurring sugars: white, light, golden, dark and a bit of molasses here and there.

If you only use all natural products, what's up with that bright red cake (aka: Debbie's Really Red Velvet Cake)?
Good question! I use coloring gel to give my Red Velvet cake its deep red color. However, if you want an organic color, let me know and I'll use beet sugar instead. Should you opt for the beet sugar, be aware that the taste of the cake will differ greatly from my original version.

Do you use pudding mix for your Banana Pudding?
Absolutely not! I make the pudding completely from scratch with plenty of eggs and sugar. My pudding recipe is unique to Debbie's Soulful Sweets.

Do you use canned peaches for your Peach Cobbler?
No way! I use fresh peaches for my cobbler.

Do you use canned sweet potatoes for Ma's Sweet Potato Pie?
Ma (and there really is a Ma!), would take a switch to my butt if she knew that I used any shortcuts while using her trusted recipe. I only use freshly roasted sweet potatoes straight from North Carolina in Ma's Sweet Potato Pie.

Do you make sugar free cakes?
Not at this moment. Depending on the number of requests I get, I may add a few sugar free products in the future.

Do you make fat free products?
No, all of my products are reminiscent of baking from days gone by. We use plenty of butter and whole eggs in all of our products.

DECORATING
I'm getting married, can you bake for me?
Sure. My red velvet is a wedding favorite. My wedding cakes feature a decorated fondant that tastes just like a tender tootsie roll! I also bake special occasion cupcakes. Call me to discuss options and costs.

I'd like a cake shaped like a Louis Vuitton Bag. Can you do that?
Sorry, all of my cakes are round or rectangular (sheet cakes). If you need a specially shaped cake, call me- I can recommend another baking "sista" who specializes in specialty-shaped cakes.

I'd like a sheet cake. Can you do that?
Sure, call me- let me know which cake you're interested in and how many people you need to feed. I'll quote you a price and will take care of the rest!

Can I try a sample of an item before I buy it?
Sorry, I bake strictly to order. If you are unsure of any item, call me and I'll go into greater detail about the taste and ingredients.
